Alongside our Will Writing Service, there are other services on offer as well.
- Lasting Powers of Attorney. There are two kinds, the Finance and the Welfare versions. If you are unable to conduct your own finances, due to a Stroke, for example, your Bank will refuse to give out any personal information without your explicit written consent. This is due to the Data Protection Act. If you have had the foresight to draw up an LPA, your Attorneys will actually be able to deal with financial institutions.
- The Welfare Version relates to your Accommodation Needs and enables your Attorneys to make the best choices for you on your behalf.
Storage of your Will and other documents
It is very important that the whereabouts of your Will and other legal documents is known to your Executors and that they are kept safe.
Unless you have a fire-proof safe at home, we would recommend that King's Court Trust Corporation store your Will in their underground storage facility in Bath.
An alternative is to lodge it with First Avenue House in London at the Wills & Probate Department. The drawback of this is that the Testator himself must retrieve it in his lifetime in order to make changes and Will Time cannot act as the Agent.
King's Court, on the other hand, are more flexible and even allow you to keep Share Certificates and other documents with your Will!
